Forest Lake Motel

The staff was very helpful and nice. The room was spacious with a queen and a double bed. It had cable TV and a studio size refrigerator. The bathroom was clean but dated. Beds were comfy. My only issue was that the door 's only lock was the one on the doorknob. (See picture)

The price was right for a good comfortable sleep for a quick turn around. The rooms were cozy holding their original look. Great simple amenities. Will definitely stay here again!! Would recommend.

Laid-back comfort, easy access from US 2 & great location for a "base of operations" if out to explore a lot of N.MN. Essentials needed for dealing with picnic supplies & leftovers that can't be left behind can be kept in the frig in the room. It was full apartment size.. haven't found that the case very often & I loved it. I found the room north woods attractive & the staff, especially housekeeping, happy to work with our needs...notes to & from which I hope they enjoyed as much as I. I'd love to stay here again.

Sorta small / old rooms that are rough around the edges… but the spot is nice, short stroll across the street to a beautiful fishing dock. Really nice folks!

I stayed here for an evening, so this review is based on my limited stay. This place gets 5 stars because of the price for amenities and the value. This is a Motel, meaning it's for motorists to park right outside the room and have all they need. This was the case. Parking was outside the window. Room had a fridge, coffee maker, stocked bathroom, clean room, and was ready for me. The rooms are safe. The stay was very quiet and peaceful. Please note, if you have a late check-in, you should call ahead and make arrangements. The office isn't open 24 hours. The bed was comfortable and clean. The motel itself is older, so this isn't for someone expecting a corporate-style room with on-site amenities. There is a beautiful lake across the road from the property. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. If you're in the area and need a place to stay, come check it out. For the price, this is the best place in town.

This is a very clean, older motel that has a lake across the street! The people were very nice and our room (#41) had a microwave, an apartment-size refrigerator (not just a mini-fridge like most hotels/motels), and the room was big for a motel room. My only complaint is that the curtains did not provide enough privacy. There are sheer curtains in the middle and non-sheer curtains on both sides of the sheer curtains. Unfortunately, the non-sheer curtains were not wide enough to cover the whole window. Therefore, there was no way to prevent people from seeing in, especially at night.

It's an older motel and showing its age, definitely not fancy. BUT, it was tidy and clean, the bed was comfortable, and the service was super helpful and friendly. It was well equipped with fridge, coffee maker, cooktop, microwave, wifi, TV, all of which seemed to be working and in good condition. Would definitely stay here again.

The rooms are cleaned, lots of Parking, friendly and understanding staff/ owners. Great location by the lake and for being in town, it’s actually very peaceful. It’s a great place to stay!! reasonable prices and pet friendly. You won’t be disappointed!!!!
